The English-Jewish community of interests, which broke the current war with Germany off the leash, has a centuries-old tradition. As is well known, the Jews were expelled from the English island empire in 1290 and for almost 400 years every Jew was forbidden to reside and work in England. This state of affairs changed with the rule of Cromwell. The Lord Protector, rooted in the spirit of Puritanism, had recognised the possibility of a religious reinterpretation of the political striving for power of a people in the Old Testament. What was more obvious than an alliance with that people, which concluded a covenant with its God in the Old Testament and received in return the promise of chosenness and domination of the world? Cromwell therefore allowed the return of the Jews to England, and from that time dates the identical goal-setting of England and Jewry in the domination of the world. During this period, the view also arose that the English royal house descended from the House of David, so that the alliance with Jewry additionally received an inner justification beyond that. The external occasion of the English-Jewish alliance was the Spanish war under Cromwell, in which Jewry allowed England to prosper its first support. The spiritual amalgamation between London and Zion was naturally followed by the Jewish incursion into English economic life. In the case of the English-Jewish alliance, it was obvious that a Jew undertook for the first time the attempt to press English economic life into fixed laws, which had the consequence that the entrepreneur took in gigantic profits at the expense of the working population. It was the Jew David Ricardo who, at the turn of the 19th century, laid the theoretical foundation for that state which today is referred to as plutocracy.

The Outlines Of A New Social Contract
It’s time to sketch the outlines of the new Social Contract that becomes possible as the status quo experiences Model Collapse.
This is essay #14 in the series The Revolution No One Sees Coming. I’m wrapping up this series in the next few Musings Reports. This is a major essay. You might want to refill your beverage. It’s time to sketch the outlines of the new Social Contract that becomes possible as the status quo experiences Model Collapse–a collapse not just of “growth” but of the conceptual models that held up “growth” and “technological Progress” as modern-day secular mythologies, or if you prefer, a secular religion of the technocratic faithful and “Luddite” heretics. I want to emphasize several points about the entire process I’m describing. The conventional line of analysis focuses on rationalist metrics and dynamics in the economy–consumer prices, debt, etc.–resources–availability, production costs, etc.–and geopolitics: who controls resources, production, AI, etc. In my analysis, these are all secondary to the emotions generated by high expectations being dashed and the anger generated when human realize they’ve been conned. Conventional analysts conclude people “should” feel everything is fine because their analysis ignores (or is blind to) the emotional foundations of the status quo model of “how the world works.” In my view, this is a fatal error. I describe the overall process unfolding in this way: the decay in the quality of life is met with increasingly extreme expediencies that appear to “solve” the problem but at the cost of systemic stability, leading to Model Collapse, the loss of faith not just in status quo institutions but in the value system and secular mythologies that “made sense” inside the artificial realm of the status quo model. This process is not predictable. Previous cultural revolutions–revolutions in what’s acceptable and no longer acceptable, as opposed to “meet the new boss” political rearrangements–were never predicted by consensus or experts. These cultural revolutions build up over time and then manifest as convulsive, non-linear movements that accelerate and spread far more quickly than conventional pundits think possible because they ignored or discounted the pressure cooker heating up for years or decades. We see this in full flower today: the conventional pundits are fixated on declaring that everything is going great and we’ll all enjoy Progress and Growth as the natural order of technological innovation and human ingenuity. The tricks of finance and technology will fix all problems. This studied blindness has many sources, of course: the conventional pundits are paid to promote the status quo, not to reveal its decay and systemic instability; denial is more comforting than facing challenges that demand sweeping changes that come with risks no one can fully control, and Goodhart’s Law, a.k.a. McNamara’s fallacy: optimizing what’s easy to measure at the expense of what isn’t easy to measure. The decay of everyday life and the “growth” model cannot be measured, while finance and technology are easy to measure.

SSRI “Antidepressant” Psychiatric Medications Cause Suicide And Homicide:
A Complete History.
This is about two men I know, one drug class, and the courts that refuse to look.
This is my best post in six months.
Summary Ben Bathen, a friend who has stayed in my home, was prescribed Lexapro (escitalopram) by a clinician who followed a psychologist’s instructions. He developed akathisia, the drug-induced inner torment that drives suicide and violence, became enraged, made a phone call, and spent 2 years in a San Diego County jail. He was cut off his drugs without a taper. He now has involuntary movements and jaw clenching that is destroying his teeth. Every court that reviewed his case refused to consider whether the drug caused his behavior. A state judge called his condition “voluntary drug use.” A federal judge called his genetic test results “speculation.” David Carmichael, whom I have also met in person, killed his 11-year-old son in 2004 after raising his Paxil (paroxetine) dose. A Canadian court found him not criminally responsible, held him about 5 years, and released him. He has been off all psychiatric drugs since 2010. Ben’s website, WrongfulSSRIConvictions.com, documents the political money behind the judges who ruled on his case. The dollar figures come from public records. The inference that money bought the rulings is his, and I explain below why I think the mechanism is worse than a bribe. These drugs are addictive. Withdrawal lasts months, sometimes years, and some patients who have taken them for years cannot stop at all because their brains have adapted to the drug. Ben was forced off his in a jail cell. No psychiatric drug has ever been tested against a true placebo in patients who were not withdrawing from a similar drug. The “placebo” groups were in withdrawal, which made the drugs look better and safer than they are. The evidence that these drugs cause suicide and violence has been in company files since the 1980s and in the FDA’s own database for decades. Both were kept from the public until litigation pried them loose. Lexapro’s maker pleaded guilty to a felony in 2010, and its discovery file stayed sealed until 2018. The reactions are not rare. In the maker’s own Prozac trials, the drug produced new agitation in 1 patient in 5 over placebo. Bruxism, the jaw clenching that is destroying Ben’s teeth, has the strongest link to antidepressants of any movement disorder in the World Health Organization’s database. American prescribers hand out these drugs after a 5-minute checklist. I did it myself about 1,000 times. The damage lands on the patient, and the courts make sure it stays there.
